A very well written book. Even though I kind of already had a hunch of what was happening I still didn’t know all the little details or how it all came about definitely one of my top thriller reads this year

For being an old psychological thriller book, it’s definitely well written. Not much to the storyline it’s pretty obvious what’s happening from the first few chapters and then you’re going to get really annoyed at Philip because he has all of these warning signs and just becomes infatuated with this woman who killed his brother by poison and then is slowly trying to poison him. I feel like it’s so obvious he had so many warnings from his brother Ambrose, but he chose to ignore it because he’s never lusted after a woman before until this moment. Rachel was conniving. She knew what she was doing and she did it well.

The book was pretty slow in the beginning with not a lot happening but it picked up about halfway into it and had a great ending, I had suspected that she was dangerous too, so the ending was expected, but well written.

One of my favorite reads so far this year. Well written, great plot line, and didn’t hold back on the more graphic details like most writers do. Definitely recommend if psychological thrillers are your thing.

The beginning was a little slow for me, but once things started unraveling, I really started to enjoy the read

Pretty good writing, the way Adam acted throughout the case was pretty crazy and the way he trusted his wife he just cheated on to handle his case seemed a little far fetched but some who the writer made it believable

This one may be a tough read for many people if the subject of child abuse is hard for you to hear about. However, I think this book is super important and many people should read it when someone chooses to out the person who had all the power growing up and was abusive, it’s super important that they are heard and believed this book is got wrenching, but also a tale of miraculous survival and determination to live.

Great book always love a Frieda  McFadden novel this one didn’t have a twist right at the end, but it did have a twist towards the end. Always unexpected.
