I don’t have the words to describe this experience of a book. I literally laughed and cried my way through. Incredible piece of art.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
Isn’t one of the number one rules of writing to hook the reader in the first few pages? Ariadne wasn’t in the least bit engaging. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen to propel me deeper into the story but it never came. Loved Madeline Miller’s mythology retellings so I was  disappointed when I didn’t love this.
