Second book syndrome. I had high hopes for this but it fell flat just a few too many times. I won’t pretend to understand the nuance of some of the themes, but it felt like the main characters’ development did a complete 180 by the end.

I’m looking forward to picking up the next book, but I don’t know that I’ll rush out and buy it.

This was fine. Too many niche references and tried a little too hard to sell the original “creepy neighbor” plot line before just giving it up completely. All in all a cute book but left me wanting more.

This was fine, if a little predictable. Not a bad debut from someone who knows true crime inside and out.

There was no need for this book to be as long as it is and still have such obvious “twists.” It started out so promising but the pacing and the length just completely lost me.
