Jessica Joyce never misses!!! PAPER RINGS IS FOR THEM!! Eli Mora oh how I love you.

A beautiful story about owning up to your mistakes and learning to work through your past trauma. Georgia, Eli, and Adam have been a trio ever since they were kids. After a messy breakup five years prior, Georgia and Eli have pretended like everything was fine in order to save their friendship with Adam.

Georgia loves her lists and being needed, so when catastrophe strikes the week before Adam’s wedding she’s ready to take charge. Unfortunately, Eli also offers to take lead in order to make up for being absent, which means they must spend the week together. The two never spoke about the breakup and Georgia has a list of rules she’s used since to keep her cool. Eli has happily abided by these unspoken rules, until now that is.

As the two rush off to Napa Valley, where their relationship first started to bloom, old feelings slam into them hard. Between tasks to complete to save Adam’s wedding, Georgia begins to see a new Eli— one less obsessed with work and more present. Georgia begins to lose hold of the rigid rules — are they able to try again?

I received an eARC from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I almost DNF’d this at the beginning because the MCs were so childish but I stuck with it and they were actually so cute! Drew bestie in what world is it okay to call a woman “Big Red” and think she won’t be offended 😭

Overall this was a fun read and the two of them are so incredibly cute together.

This was absolutely adorable!

Maddie Berkley is a senior at St. Cloud and her debut novel is set to come out in a few months. In order to make money in the meantime, she tutors other students in writing.

When Aran Rodriguez begins struggling in one of his classes, he reaches out for a tutor. After an awkward end to a casual relationship, Aran vows to focus on school and hockey only. Unfortunately for him, he can’t seem to get his tutor out of his head…

I picked this up thanks to a friend’s recommendation and it did not disappoint!

The beginning was a bit slow (as usual with retellings), but once I got into the world I could not put this down. While I’m not a stan of any Star Wars-esque movies or shows, the dedication to one’s fandom shines in this book. As an avid The Hunger Games fan who is so immersed in the fandom, this felt like a love story to fandoms everywhere.

There were a few parts that were almost too cheesy or felt “convenient” but overall I really enjoyed this one!

Emerson “Emmy” Hartwell finally has achieved her goal of playing in the NHL. She is excited for the opportunity, but is ready to keep her distance from her teammates, especially the captain Maverick Miller. Maverick is known for being a player off the ice and Emmy is adamant that she will not date another hockey player.

Maverick is instantly drawn to Emmy though despite her prickly personality. After a rough start to the season, the two hook up and the team starts to win. The two continue and slowly start to blur the lines between friends with benefits and dating. Emmy starts to learn Maverick is not the cocky player she thought he was and she cannot help but fall for him.

Maverick and Emmy were so gentle with each other and I loved getting to see their story unfold. I loved every minute of this book and I highly recommend you go pick it up right now!

This was my first book by Chelsea Curto and I cannot wait to read more!

I really enjoyed this one— it was a ton of fun! I honestly wish this would’ve been a dual POV but overall it was a fun ride.

Emma Wheeler has spent the first part of her adult life taking care of everyone around her. She let her sister go off to college so she could pursue her dreams and stayed back to take care of their father full time. When the opportunity of a life time comes up, her family will not let her turn it down. Charlie Yates, Emma’s favorite screenwriter, is in need of a ghostwriter for one of his upcoming films. He wrote a romantic comedy script and it was… not good.

We love a rom-com about writing a rom-com!

The relationship between Sage and Fisher was so beautifully built.

Fisher was a renowned chef out in NYC until his sister passes and he blows up his career. When he takes in his niece, Indy, his prior boss gives him an opportunity— move to a small town called Spunes, OR for the summer and help set up her newest restaurant. By the end of the summer, he can move back to NYC and take his spot back in her kitchen. Fisher and his niece need a reset and this will give them a chance to reconnect. Unfortunately, Fisher begins to hit major roadblocks when it comes to opening the new restaurant.

Sage has lived her whole life in Spunes and loves her small coastal town. But after her five year relationship ends and her ex is engaged with the year, Sage feels like everyone is walking on egg shells around her.

Fisher and Sage become friends and soon strike up a mutually beneficial deal. Sage will help Fisher get the restaurant opened before the festival and in turn, Fisher will be Sage’s partner for the annual Spunes competition. The pact quickly turns heated and the two are unable to fight their connection. They realize that anything they start has an end date to it, so they decide to savor every moment. Will they both heal or will this end in heartbreak?

I would have enjoyed this way more had the FMC not been 21 and the MMC 31 and had known each other since like 6 and 16. I get they didn’t have feelings for each other until they were both adults but it still did not rub me the right way.
