I did not know what was going on most of the time. Update: I did not know what was going on any of the time. I don't think I was in the mood for this book right now and I will revisit the series later.

Oh, there was some drama in this one! And it was darling. We got to see Lupin being his usual cheerful gremlin but also feeling real feelings. He's so tender and melodramatic and protective sometimes, and it always feels like an earned delight. Because he spends so much time being cleverly nonchalant while the millionaires and police run around madly. What a treasure.

I think this is honestly my favourite one yet, there's so much happening here in a fantastic way and I need more of these soon! The intricacy of the plot definitely fits how much longer this is than the others, but it needs it, and doesn't feel long weirdly enough. This goes by so fast, and is so smooth, that I barely even noticed the length. It's rollercoaster impossible to get off.

First book of the new year! I always loved Sherlock Holmes, so of course I couldn't resist the charming, Robin Hood-esque gentleman thief Arsene Lupin. I also love the Lupin III movie that Hayao Miyazaki did and never realized the character was based on being the grandson of this infamous thief, Arsene! Just a combo of so many things I love all together.

Feels like reading has been impacted by the publishers switching the book orders.
