I loved the first book in this series so much this one was never going to compare. But this dragged so much. The first half of this book didn’t need to happen. The ending was so satisfying but it felt like eons before we got there.

This would have been perfect if it leaned more into the spooky aspects.

Someone needs a job and to actually accept the fact that she allows men to define her worth. Also accept that although the book is supposedly about hating men, it’s really about how much she can’t stand her mother.

I think this is the perfect book for someone else but the storylines are too drawn out for my taste.

I will say the one person I suspected to have been involved was not and the one person I thought was too obvious to be the one was the one. So take that for what it’s worth.

This would have been so much better without the full on murder coverup and the blackmail at the end . We’re just supposed to believe that no one ever figures out that Charlie and Jeff are dead and Sherry is in hiding???? Also how in the world does Bel just shift gears so quickly??? I liked this in theory and for the first 75% and then it completely jumped the shark.
